Kelli Brinkley When I was about 12 years old my Dad gave me his 35mm Minolta and I can honestly say that I have been taking pictures ever since. There was something about seeing the world through the lens of a camera that felt incredibly natural to me. That passion led me to graduate from UNC-Charlotte with a BFA in Photography. I’ve studied at various schools in New York City as well as The Penland School of Crafts here in North Carolina. In 1998 I started my own business with a focus on photojournalistic style weddings however nowadays I’ve found myself gravitating more towards children and families. I love the challenge within photographing kids but more than that I adore their free spirits and humor. I suppose that my main motivation for taking pictures is to capture those elusive, quiet moments that are so full of stories yet so fleeting and forgotten.
