Catalina Kulczar is a living definition of
diversity. She was born to Hungarian parents in Caracas, Venezuela
and was raised in a tri-lingual household (Spanish, English, and
Hungarian). At the age of twelve, her family settled in South Florida,
where she began to cultivate interests that are still very much
a part of her life today.
Photography is the hobby that has continued to intrigue Catalina
above all else. She was initially introduced to the media by her
father, who has been an amateur photographer for over thirty years.
During her senior year in high school, she skipped out of Physics
class to work in the darkroom. She continued exploring black and
white photography while in college.
Catalina is a strong and vibrant artist. Since 2002, Catalina has
been photographing weddings, children, food and fashion. For five
years, Catalina was the official photographer for Charlotte's popular
Latin Rock band, “La Rua.” She has also photographed,
among other bands, The Rolling Stones, Mana, Enanitos Verdes, Hombres
G and Los Amigos Invisibles.
