Deborah has pursued the craft of photography for over 25 years. For nearly 15 years she ran one of the most successful wedding photography businesses in the Southeast. She was one of the first photographers to approach weddings and bridal portraits with an artful eye, using a photo documentary approach in addition to fine art and fashion stylistic touches.

In recent years she has come full circle – back to the basic life rule of K.I.S.S.  She now works one-on-one with her clients crafting portraits for both private commissions and commercial work.

Her images have been published in Carolina Bride, Ocean Drive Magazine, a book entitled GREAT UNKNOWNS.  She is a featured photographer for Studio Photography and Design, staff photographer for Premier Baby Charlotte and in the past three years the primary photographer for Skirt Magazine in Charlotte.  She has been featured on three television shows, syndicated and local cable – interviewed about the subject of photography and her business.  

Her wish is to always evolve.  Currently she is working on a series of nudes…exploring beauty within and without, as well as fine art landscapes.  She says, “whether it be the human body or the world around us…it is all a landscape – all a portrait.”

Theme: This year, Deborah’s theme is “flowerhead-flowers.”  Bring your own flowers or use Deborah’s flower-headed wigs!  She’ll also have some fresh flowers on hand.
