Van Miller has been a freelance photographer for more than 20 years. His work has appeared in numerous publications like: The Utne Reader, Dance, Communication Arts, Graphis, & Southern Accents. He’s photographed many interesting people such as Maya Angelou, Roger Clemens, Wolfgang Puck, Leon Golub, the infamous Geral Hege and Erskine Bowles. Some of his clients include: Major League Baseball, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Duke Power, The BBC, & The Sierra Club. He studied film at San Francisco State University, French at the Sorbonne, and Photography at The American Center in Paris. He’s also a big fan of North Carolina Barbecue.
